Wax is naturally produced in the External Auditory Canal (EAC), it is a mechanism to collect dust and has antibiotic properties. A build up can be caused over months or sometimes years by a naturally occurring excess of earwax, narrow or hairy ear canals, and the use of objects like the use of cotton swabs or hearing aids that can push wax further in.

Fantastic results of improved hearing and comfort can be achieved with microsuction - a method of earwax removal that uses a gentle suction device, resembling a miniature vacuum cleaner, to remove excess earwax, debris, or infections from the ear canal .A microscope is used to visualize the ear canal during the procedure, ensuring accuracy and minimising the risk of injury.
